This position requires a motivated, hard-working and organised
individual who is committed to progressing parliamentary democracy and
has experience in fulfilling the range of responsibilities required
across Editorial and Communications activities.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) connects, develops,
promotes and supports Parliamentarians and their staff to identify
benchmarks of good governance and the implementation of the enduring
values of the Commonwealth. The CPA collaborates with Parliaments and
other organisations, including the intergovernmental community, to
achieve its Statement of Purpose.
CPA activities focus on the Commonwealth's commitment to its fundamental
political values,
including: just and honest government, the alleviation of poverty, fundamental human rights, international peace and order, global economic development, the rule of law, equal rights and representation for all citizens of both genders, the separation of powers among the three branches of government and the right to participate in free and democratic political processes.

Applicants should hold a Degree level education in
journalism/communication or a related field or equivalent, experience of
social marketing techniques and application. Knowledge of issues
relating to parliamentary democracy and governance development worldwide
will be a key advantage to the potential post holder.
